Stuffolgy

Stuff... i have a lot of stuff. Most of my stuff consists of books though. I love reading. I dont have a specific type. I read what's available. I think my books are something i couldnt go without, but i probably could  give some of my books to charity so children all around the world could read, because in some places arent available.I never throw books away, i find them too valuable.
Thinking about how my books affect others i came to the conclusion that my books are harmless. Even though it takes trees to make books, i dont think they are doing harm since i dont throw them away. But for the betterment ( i dont think thats a word) of humanity and the Earth, i could find books made on recycled paper or recycles materials. I find myself calling my books a need more than a want, but actually they are a really strong want. I love my books, but if it'll save the world i can give them up.

Approaching the subject of college education i think about my own experience from high school me to the college me. So when asked whats my position on the subject, i say i have to agree with Boggs that community college is a stepping stone into 4 year college,  . As previously stated, i consider my own experience fron high school to college. In high school i had mediocre grades because it was a challege that i wasnt ready to accept, so as a prep tool i came to community college even though i was accepted into three 4 year colleges. I came because i needed to prepare for college.  If i dont do well in a 2 year then i know im not ready and i wont be wasting money, but if i do well then ill transfer into a 4 year. I look at community college as a safety net.
"Community colleges play an essential role in preparing the nation's workforce," said Bogg. That was a strong point in Bogg's view, because if you think about it he is right. he referenced the national commision on community colleges, 2008 that showed that 80% of the work force went to community college. He goes on to say  how community college provides access to highere education so so many different types of  people that differ in age, ethnicity and the such like. The flip side of the look on community college is that community college is used as a crutch, and keeps you satisfied with mediocre and hinders you from being elevated in mind. Rosenbaum states that if you did poor in high school you will do poor in college. I dont agree with that, however he does have strong evidence that high school plays an important role in the prep for college. So my take on it is while high school is important, if you dont do well doesnt stop you from being successful it just  holds you back, and that is a big difference.

Names are very interesting. Take mines for example, Tajé Zakia White. My name is very uncommon and when people try to say my name its halarious. I get tahj, tayj, tahgee, and plenty more. For this assignment i was assignede to fined out my name history, and so it begins.
I was named by my uncle Amenu. He named me after his Afghanistan girlfriend Taje. Taje is a female form of the arabic name Taj. Taj means "crown". My uncle named me Zakia after is african girlfriend. Zakia  is Afrikaan for smart, or one of great intelligence. My last name is of course from my dad. White comes from Hwita. White means fair skinned, white haired, and pale one; i am none of those... so i was the butt of every joke in class. Hwita means dweller in the curve of the river, or road. Wow, seriously woerd name history but thats my name and i wouldnt change it for the world.
